Privacy Policy

Simple Tools is a collection of free, browser-based utilities. We take a privacy-first approach: the tools do their work locally on your device, and we keep server-side data collection to the minimum needed to run a website.
What we don't collect
Your files never leave your browser. Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. Documents, images, spreadsheets, audio files, or any other input you provide to a tool are handled entirely by JavaScript running on your own device. No file content is transmitted to us or to any third party.
We do not maintain user accounts, do not require registration, and do not store any personally identifiable information about your tool usage.
What we do collect
When your browser loads a page on this site, standard web-request metadata is processed. This includes:
- Your IP address (handled by our hosting/CDN infrastructure; see Cloudflare below)
- Browser type and version (User-Agent header)
- Referring URL (if any)
- Date and time of the request
- The page URL requested
This data is a by-product of how the internet works. We do not build profiles from it and do not link it to individuals.
Third-party services
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, referrers, device types). Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-respecting:
- It does not use cookies or local storage.
- IP addresses are anonymised before any metrics are recorded.
- No cross-site tracking or fingerprinting is performed.
- Data is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Google AdSense (when enabled)
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When AdSense is active, Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to show personalised or contextual ads. Google acts as a data controller for the data it collects through its advertising network.
For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we will use a consent mechanism (Consent Management Platform) before any AdSense personalisation cookies are set. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the consent banner or settings link on the page.

Cookies
Simple Tools itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. If Google AdSense is active and you have given consent, Google may set advertising cookies — see the section above. Your browser's cookie settings always remain under your own control.
Hosting and infrastructure
The site is served via Cloudflare's global CDN. Cloudflare processes standard request metadata as described above. For details on how Cloudflare handles personal data as a processor, see Cloudflare's GDPR documentation at cloudflare.com/trust-hub/gdpr.
Your GDPR rights
If you are located in the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you a number of rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you may request information about what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you may ask us to delete personal data we hold about you.
- Right to restriction of processing — you may ask us to restrict how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — you may request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Because we collect very little data that could identify you, many of these rights will have limited practical application. To exercise any right, or if you have a privacy question, please contact us at info [at] speecon.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Germany, the relevant authority is the data protection commissioner of your federal state (Landesbeauftragter für Datenschutz).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
